What is urgent care?
Urgent care is the delivery of ambulatory care in a facility dedicated to the delivery of care outside of a hospital emergency department, usually on an unscheduled, walk-in basis.
Westbank Urgent Care is open Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. • Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. No appointment is necessary. We accept most insurance plans, cash or credit cards. Just walk in and receive care quickly when you need it most.
Westbank Urgent Care is for non-emergency problems such as ear infections, sore throats, flu, ear infections, bladder infections, minor burns or cuts, sprains and bruises, and broken bones. More serious injuries or illnesses are best treated at an emergency department. Contact your primary care physician for chronic problems like depression or diabetes.
Westbank Urgent Care is a convenient alternative when:
- You can't get a timely appointment with your physician
- You do not have time to wait in a hospital emergency room
- Your regular clinic is closed or your physician is on vacation.

When should I go to an urgent care facility?
Your 10-year-old twisted his ankle at soccer practice and it’s really starting to swell. But it’s late. Or it’s Saturday. And your doctor’s office is closed. What should you do?
Although it may seem like a trip to the hospital is in order, the emergency room is not always the best answer. You may be in for a long wait while more critical patients are treated and, depending on your health plan, it could cost you more money.
For a minor illness or injury that needs immediate medical attention, Westbank Urgent Care is a better option.
When should I go to an acute care
hospital emergency room?
Urgent care is not a substitute for emergency care. You should go to an acute care hospital's emergency department for very serious or life-threatening problems. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, don't wait! Call 911 or get to your nearest hospital emergency room.
- Severe abdominal pain
- Chest pain
- Difficulty breathing or a shortness of breath
- Sudden weakness, dizziness,or loss of coordination and/or balance
- Unusual blurred vision
- Numbness in the face, arm or leg
- Sudden, severe headache
- Deep cuts with bleeding that won’t stop
- Coughing up or vomiting blood
- Severe burns
- Seizures
- Snake bites
- Vaginal bleeding
- Pregnancy related problems
- Children 1 year or younger
Who will care for me?
Westbank Urgent Care's physicians are board certified. Our staff includes experienced physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. We are equipped with a procedure room and diagnostic X-ray services. On-site pharmacy services are also available for urgent care patients.
How long will I have to wait?
Westbank Urgent Care patients are generally treated on a first-come, first-served basis. While every attempt will be made to see you as quickly as possible, wait times will be based on the number of people seeking care as well as the seriousness of their condition. Our goal is to get patients in and out within an hour.\

You can always call us for advice. Just call us anytime.
What happens after I leave urgent care?
You will be advised about all follow-up procedures and notified about any findings from lab work or X-rays. A complete record of your treatment will also be faxed to your primary care physician on request, who can provide any necessary follow-up care. If you do not have a primary care physician, we will help you find one for follow up care.
